Connected Cars was founded in 2016 as a subsidiary of Semler Group, the largest automotive importer in Denmark. We help workshops and importers reduce downtime and build customer loyalty through real-time vehicle data.

Today it connects 300,000+ vehicles across 700+ workshops and 40+ brands. In 2025, Connected Cars became the official global connectivity provider for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Jesper Hill-Kjærsgaard
Chief Executive Officer

Jesper Hill-Kjærsgaard, Chief Executive Officer

Jesper leads Connected Cars with a focus on scaling the company’s platform and deepening the strategic value it provides to the global automotive industry. His leadership is defined by a career-long commitment to digital transformation and the execution of complex business strategies.

Before joining Connected Cars, Jesper served as CEO of :Dribe, where he led the development and growth of Denmark’s first digital car subscription service under the Semler Group. His approach to the mobility sector is informed by a strong financial background, including over a decade at Danske Bank. During his tenure there, he held several senior leadership roles, including managing large-scale operations and digital shifts within a highly regulated environment.

This combination of financial rigor and mobility expertise allows Jesper to navigate the intersection of technology and business development with a steady, data-led perspective. At Connected Cars, he is dedicated to building a sustainable ecosystem where vehicle connectivity drives operational efficiency for partners and creates more seamless, transparent experiences for drivers worldwide.

Thomas Jansson, VP of Technology

Thomas has been a driving force behind Connected Cars’ technological evolution since joining the company in 2018.

He has shaped the company’s data science capabilities from the ground up, establishing a robust data quality monitoring framework and introducing advanced data processing workflows.

These initiatives have enabled Connected Cars to deliver innovative, scalable telematics solutions that redefine vehicle connectivity.

His contributions have positioned the organization as a leader in leveraging data effectively, with impactful dashboards and analytics tools that empower informed decision-making across the business.

Thomas leads a highly skilled and innovative technical team responsible for device development, firmware, CANbus engineering, data processing, backend systems, infrastructure, and frontends. Known for their expertise and collaborative approach, the team has consistently delivered cutting-edge solutions that set new benchmarks in vehicle connectivity and telematics. Their combined efforts ensure Connected Cars remains at the forefront of industry advancements, providing exceptional value to both car owners and business partners.Beyond his role at Connected Cars, Thomas maintains active collaboration with the research community, sharing insights and exploring advancements in data science and telematics.

Jakob F. Filippson, Vice President of Product

Jakob is a product innovation leader with a strong focus on solving real customer pains through strategic, customer-centric solutions. His expertise lies in identifying and leveraging opportunities at the intersection of customer needs, business potential, and technological capabilities.

Jakob holds a background in engineering design and product management and began his career as an industrial PhD student in the medtech industry, where he honed his problem-solving skills and technical acumen.

Currently, as the VP of Product at Connected Cars, Jakob oversees the company’s product strategy and leads the ongoing evolution of its product portfolio. He has been a key figure since the company’s founding 8 years ago, ensuring that Connected Cars delivers innovative, impactful solutions that address core customer challenges.

Morten Søe Feldung
Vice President of Finance & Operations

Morten Søe Feldung, Vice President of Finance & Operations

Morten serves as Vice President, Finance & Operations at Connected Cars, where he is part of the executive leadership team overseeing the company’s central administrative and operational pillars, shaping the company’s financial direction, operational strength, and long-term scalability. He is responsible for the for driving operational efficiency in Finance, Legal, People, and Supply Chain functions—areas that form the organisational backbone of the business. Before joining Connected Cars, Morten held commercial finance roles at Microsoft, worked in the Danish start-up and scale-up ecosystem, and held positions in real estate and alternative investment. His academic background includes a Masters degree in Accounting & Controlling from Copenhagen Business School.

He has a proven commercial track record from roles such as Director, Customer Success at MarTech vendor Agillic, VP of Customer Experience at Superb Experience and Customer Success Consultant at CustomerGrowth. His academic foundation, including a Master’s in International Business from Copenhagen Business School, complements his extensive experience in driving customer retention and growth.

At Connected Cars, Nicholas plays a pivotal role in crafting and implementing strategies that enhance product adoption and customer engagement. His leadership has been crucial in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and supporting the company’s global expansion by creating a solid and scalable environment around customers. By aligning customer-focused initiatives with broader business objectives, Nicholas ensures that Connected Cars remains a customer-centric organization, committed to delivering exceptional value and fostering long-term relationships.

Our office

Our headquarters sits on the top floor of a building in Sydhavn, Copenhagen, with open views across the city and out over the water. We have two patios great for enjoying the sun, and a walkway all around for strolling and chatting. The building has a gym, ping pong, and a canteen that makes lunch something people look forward to.
